For my original paintings I use high quality materials supplied by renowned companies such as Daler Rowney, Schmincke, RICO, REEVES, Goya, Amsterdam, and Hahnemuhle to name but a few. Together with a gloss or matt varnish finish this should ensure that they will last for many years without fading, cracking or changing colour.
Certificate of Authenticity
Original paintings are always supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
That way you can be sure to own an unique work of art.
The certificate holds important data about the painting and is signed personally by the artist.
Originals are painted in oils or acrylics on canvas, canvas panel, wood, MDF panel or high quality fine art paper.
Canvas
Professionally produced stretched canvases are the basis for my original oil and acrylic paintings. Canvases are usually painted round the edges so they can be hung without frames. It is of course possible to frame them if you wish to do so. They are shipped in secure bubble wrap packaging without frames.
Canvas Panels
I also use professionally produced canvas panels for my original oil and acrylic paintings. Canvas panels can be framed with or without a mount. If you want to mount them you should even out the 5mm thickness of the panel by adding a backing to the mount around the picture. They are shipped in secure bubble wrap packaging without mounts or frames.
Wood or MDF Panels
Some of my original oil and acrylic paintings are painted on wood or MDF panels. These look best in a suitable frame. They are shipped in secure bubble wrap packaging without frames.
Wood panels are often hand-made with a beveled back. Several layers of coating and varnish protect the back of the wood and add a noble touch.
Fine Art Paper Originals
Acrylics are often painted on Hahnemuhle or Daler Rowney acid free fine art paper. The paper strength usually starts at 160 to 450 g/m². These paintings are shipped in secure packaging readily mounted but without frames.
